Christchurch to Wanaka via the West Coast

This exciting new tour has been added to the 2014 bike calendar, Southern Alps Tour Lite follows the same principles as the Southern Alps Tour.  Those being, five days fully supported riding, five days fully catered and 5 nights accommodation, the light component is in the amount of km’s covered just over 650km and the entry fee of $1650.00.

The tour has the standard aspects of open stages, with sprint points, KOM points and the coveted general classification jersey.
The tour will head out of Christchurch on the 20th March culminating in Wanaka on the 24th March, going  via Arthur’s Pass, Hokitika, Franz Josef, Haast and Wanaka.

Arthur’s Pass to Hokitika, 98km

Hokitika to Franz Josef glacier, 136km

Franz Josef glacier to Haast, 143km

Haast to Wanaka, 143 km
